This page lists the cookies and similar storage trails.bg uses. We use only strictly necessary and functional ones — no advertising or tracking cookies. Because they are essential to the site working, they do not require your consent under the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR.

We also measure how the site is used, but with analytics that set no cookies and store nothing on your device — see “Analytics — without cookies” below.

Strictly necessary

These are required to sign you in and keep the site secure. Without them you could not use an account.

  • Session cookie — set when you sign in, so the site knows it is you on each request. It is removed when you sign out.

Functional

These remember your preferences so the site behaves the way you left it. They store no personal data beyond the choice itself.

  • Language — remembers whether you are browsing in English or Bulgarian.
  • Theme — remembers your light / dark / system choice (stored in your browser).

Analytics — without cookies

We count visits with a privacy-friendly analytics service hosted in the EU. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, which is why this page is a notice and not a consent pop-up: there is no storage on your device for you to consent to.

It records the page you looked at, the site or search engine that sent you, and general details such as your country, browser and device type. It does not store your IP address, and it creates no identifier that would let anyone recognise you across visits or across other sites — visits are counted with a rotating hash that cannot be traced back to you. The results are aggregate only, and we never sell or share them.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we do not count your visit at all.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we do not profile you, and we do not sell your data.

The cookie notice you saw on your first visit is dismissed using your browser's local storage — it is not itself a cookie and stores nothing about you.

Managing cookies
